About PotNotch®

PotNotch® was inspired by a simple idea from my grandad, Jack — a shipbuilder on the Clyde whose wooden prototypes sparked a lifelong appreciation for thoughtful design.

Revisiting one of his creations, a wooden hanger for flower pots, led to the first PotNotch® — handmade and sold at Greenwich Market in 1999.

Today, each PotNotch® is crafted in the UK from sustainably sourced FSC birch wood, hand-finished and built to last.

Over twenty years on, we remain a small family business dedicated to one principle: good design, well made, with care.
